Welcome to my blog. My name is Caroline and I’m a PhD researcher focussed on bereavement and grief. I have extensive client hours supporting the bereaved, facilitating bereavement support groups, running workshops and delivering training in grief with both Cruse Bereavement Care and Roadpeace.
I was commissioned by Jessica Kingsley Publishers to write an accessible book on grief which was published worldwide in November, 2017. The book ‘Grief Demystified’ is suitable for all bereaved people and any professional working with the bereaved. It has had glowing endorsements by the professional social workers and counselling bodies, the CEO of Hospice UK and several of the world’s leading experts in grief. However, the most humbling messages I have received have been from bereaved parents.
I have particular interests in grief after miscarriage, termination, stillbirth and neonatal deaths and am certified with The Foundation for Infant Loss Training. I am also conducting research with adolescent and disenfranchised grief which are of particular interest to me.
